Happy New Year.
This year, 2020, is the final year of the OUTSOURCING Group’s Medium-term Management Plan that we, with input from every corner of the group, formulated and released in 2016.
At this stage, there’s no time for us to look back on the past and indulge in sentimental reflections, such as, “in the past five years, we learned from such and such mistakes and achieved this tremendous growth.”
Our focus has already shifted to what we accomplish in the next 5 years and beyond.
The dramatic advancement of information technology coupled with the wide spread of social media, etc. is further accelerating the pace of globalization.
Nowadays, many—nearly all—popular tourist sites in Japan are bustling with overseas visitors. This phenomenon is not specific to Japan; rather, it is becoming more common all over the world.
The Tokyo Olympics this year will bring more overseas visitors to the “country of cherry blossoms,” incomparably greater in number than the time when the country hosted the previous Tokyo Olympics 56 years ago.
As globalization spreads across the world, business needs are changing in an incredibly short period of time. Moreover, these needs are becoming connected to each other on a global scale.
Consequently, today we’ve stepped into an era where companies may not be able to achieve massive growth unless they target the global market.
The one-off growth by fulfilling irregular domestic needs in Japan will not amount to much progress.
As of today, the OUTSOURCING Group operates business worldwide in 34 countries and regions. We envisage that more and more companies from new countries will join and further expand the global network of our enterprises as we formulate and release our new Medium-term Management Plans in the future.
Although expanding business in various countries involves great risk, we strongly believe that it will give us opportunities to interact and share aspirations with distinguished individuals from countries with different cultures, standards, and values. I am confident that through being united as “one team” with these diverse individuals and tackling high-risk challenges under shared goals, we can develop and enhance the group’s growth potential limitlessly.
Lastly, I would greatly appreciate your continued support for the OUTSOURCING Group in 2020.
Sincerely,
January 1, 2020
